Cinque Terre to Santa Margherita one hour by train…so different, so much alike

We left the inclines of Cinque Terre and arrived on the level roads of Santa Margherita (on the Italian Riviera) three days ago. Some things never change…like those loud voices and dramatic gestures that seem to have spread throughout all of Italy. By the time we leave for Nice (on the French Riviera) on Wednesday, we will have perfected our own version of charades, since our only two phrases: “Bongiorno” and “Grazie”, haven’t gotten us very far here in Italy.
