Life is a trip

My brother always says, at least he used to say: “Life is a trip”.

Alaska is right around the corner.  Twenty-five days of new people, new animals, new lakes, new helicopters, and much more.  More importantly, something new within me will be developing that I can carry back without having it checked by security.

But if life is a trip, why wait for Alaska?

Do you ever stand somewhere in your neighborhood and pretend you are in a foreign city?  At times, I do.  Suddenly, I want to know about the people who pass by.  I want to find a coffee shop and just people watch from my little table.  I want to make an effort to remember every fleeting moment of beauty.

Why wait for Alaska?

  1. Dear Brenda, You see so much in the head of a pin, which requires so much bravery. It’s a blessing to have a friend like you, with whom I can try to grow better.

  2. Dear Bro, Thanks for reminding me how much J. Alfred Prufrock helped me get through those years between 13-20. Your love helps me get through the rest. Love, Sis

  3. Janet, your entry reminds me of poems shared we shared when we were in our teens==>
robert frost: the woods are lovely, dark and deep…
ts elliot: we are wreathed in seaweed red and brown, ’till human voices wake us and we drown…
I’m looking for your next entries…i just subscribed.
    Love, Craig

  4. Love the question Janet. We are spending time exploring our own “backyard” discovering new food and places. It is a trip. Xo
